Letter from the Editor

Thank you for all of your support as we have grown this year. When I started Where Are You Press two years ago, I wasn’t sure what I wanted or expected, I just didn’t want a day job anymore. I never could have imagined all the things that have happened or the places it has taken us. And we at the press owe that to you, our readers, so thank you.

Here are just some of the things that have happened this month:

We published two brilliant women: Ashe Vernon and Lora Mathis.  Both of their books are available here

Lora Mathis also joined our staff as the Director of Purchasing and Visual Arts Curator for Where Are You Press. In the next few months Lora will be overseeing our expansion into posters and framed prints by women and people of color who have established audiences for themselves through social media.

Kiki Nicole has begun curating a series of posts on our website featuring different ongoing issues that affect our authors and the poetry community at a whole. We are committed as a publishing house to shining light on the voices of young women and people of color, and we are excited to be furthering that mission through these new articles.

This summer has been huge for us, and we are so excited for all this new work we get to share with you.

Always yours,

Clementine von Radics
